She picks up an extra shift at work to save up more money. The launch is approaching and all the time spent counting down to the day, hour, minute, and second has paid off. She repetitively refreshes the website and keeps her eyes on the clock. It finally hits noon and it’s now showtime.

That, my friends, was me waiting for the Kylie x Balmain collaboration to drop. Back in September, Kylie Jenner and famous French fashion house Balmain partnered up to bless us all with this limited edition makeup collection.

In this collection, you’ll be able to get your hands on the eyeshadow palette ($42), a lip kit in the shade Paris ($29), and a high gloss in the shade Model Behavior ($16). As for the packaging, it’s inspired by Balmain’s fall/winter 2019 runway collection. It showcases Parisian street-art prints and beautiful pastel tones. I mean, come on guys, have you ever seen such pretty packaging?

When I first saw the pictures of these new products, I wasn’t sure if I should get the palette. It has nine color options that are gorgeous pastels with two neutral shades. When it comes to my eyes, I typically keep it simple by using beiges and browns. I just couldn't resist myself and bought the palette anyway. No regrets here.

I receive so many compliments on my eyeshadow every time I use this palette. The shades are so pigmented that a little definitely goes a long way. The colors all blend well with one another, which is important when choosing an eyeshadow palette.

The Kylie x Balmain lip kit includes is a matte liquid lipstick and a matching lip liner. The lipstick is a warm blushing pink and the liner is a soft chocolate nude. The colors complement each other so nicely, too.

🎶 They say my lip gloss is cool, my lip gloss be poppin’. I’m standin’ at my locker, and all the boys keep stoppin’. 🎶

That’s what I have to say in regards to this high gloss. It’s a cotton candy pink with multi-dimensional pearls that make your lips poppin’ like it’s 2007. This is probably my favorite part of the collection, if I’m being honest. I’m obsessed.

Everything always comes full circle. When I was working my butt off to save some money for this I was just not having a good time. But it really did pay off, because this collection is fantastic.
