Healthy skin in just 4 easy steps!

Skincare is something that has always been super important to me, and I try to stick to it as much as I possibly can. I think having healthy skin sets the tone for a healthy mind, body, and life. While there are the basic things like taking your makeup off before bed, staying hydrated, wearing sunscreen, etc., I like to go by a specific morning routine as well when it comes to cleansing my skin and keeping it hydrated. If you’re anything like me, the last thing you want to do before going to bed is a multi-step skincare routine. That’s why I like to designate certain things for the morning and keep it short and simple at night. So, without further adieu, here is my morning skincare routine!

📷

Step 1: Cleanser - Origins Checks and Balances

I’ve been using this cleanser for almost two years now, and it’s definitely my favorite of all time. It’s a frothy face wash that’s perfect for mornings because its key ingredient is mint, which wakes up your skin and leaves it feeling refreshed. It’s very gentle and is perfect for normal, dry, oily, combination and sensitive skin types. Nothing is worse than a facial cleanser that leaves your skin feeling dry and tight, and this cleanser does just the opposite. 📷

Step 2: Toner - Fresh Floral Rose Toner

This is another product that I’ve been using forever and it never disappoints. It’s a soothing mist that cleanses and hydrates the skin while providing an authentic rose scent. The second this product touches your skin, you feel instantly rejuvenated. Plus, all the extra hydration the better!

I truly cannot say enough about this product. I’ve only been using it for about six months, but I fell in love with it instantly. Its silky, lightweight, oil free, and smells soo good. 90% of it is spiked with vitamin and amino acid-rich watermelon extract, plumping hyaluronic acid, and soothing botanicals. On top of all of this, it also contains antioxidants that repair damaged skin cells while you’re wearing it. It definitely keeps your skin hydrated and plump all day long, and also serves as a great base to any makeup. 📷

Step 4: Facial Spray - Mario Badescu Facial Spray

After I finish my makeup, I like to use this facial spray to set everything for the day and of course, add some extra hydration (because you can never have enough!). All of the scents smell amazing and they leave your face feeling so fresh, radiant, and glowy. I personally own every kind (lavender, rosewater and green tea) except for the new orange blossom one. I can’t wait to try it out.

So, there you have it. These are the steps I take every morning before I do my makeup for the day. It’s important to keep in mind that everyone has different skin, and what works for me won’t necessarily work for everyone. Finding a skincare routine that works best for you is done by trial and error, finding out which skin type you have, and finding products that best suit that skin type. Once you figure it all out, you’ll be on your way to creating your own routine. Here’s to healthy skin!
