Tip #`1 : Eat (somewhat) Healthy
A well balanced diet keeps anyone on their toes with enough energy to propel them through the day, starting with breakfast. Instead of reaching for those sugary pop tarts, make your favorite fruit infused oatmeal. The whole grains will fill your stomach and give you a happy stomach into your hectic morning for class. Think about adding a boiled egg or two for a protein kick, if you don’t have time for scrambled eggs. Lastly, skip the sugary ‘smoothie drink’ and use real fruit to easily blend a natural smoothie at home with a magic bullet or any other portable blender. Keep in mind that you might want to warn your roommate about your blender to avoid waking her up before her classes…
Tip #2 : Exercise in-between Classes
Now I know that dragging yourself to the gym before that 8 am class sounds almost impossible. Think of it like this, you already have to get up ANYWAY, you might as well be active. If you get out of the bed at 5:50 am, you’ll be to the campus gym by 6:15 am. Then, you can stretch, have a quick 30 minute workout, and head to the café for breakfast before your class. In college, there is no such thing as sleep. When you hold yourself to consistently going to the gym, at LEAST on the days of your 8 am, you will eventually start seeing results from going to the gym twice a week. You might even add an extra day in yourself from the motivation. Although, if you really need that extra hour of sleep, just go in between your classes if you have enough time to shower. Most gyms offer showers so you won’t have the hassle of wasting time rushing back to your dorm room. P.S…gym showers are convenient when you share a suite with 3 other girls who also take morning showers.
Tip #3 : Don’t stress it, Let it GO
This last piece of advice might sound like a bad influence in the eyes of actual adults. Do NOT overthink assignments when you’ve already procrastinated past the due date.
