“What does it mean to full send something?” My personal interpretation of full send means to do something whether it’s school work, personal goals or even career goals, and just doing it with everything you got. For example, if that means you want to get all A’s for the semester, then you should spend as much time as you can doing your homework and going above and beyond to make sure you get the grades you want. Everyone can interpret “full send” as something different but I believe there is a general understand of what it is that everyone can agree on.
This semester the way my blog was produced and this theme really do tie in together smoothly. I struggled for a lot of years with being different because I would eat way healthier than a lot of kids at my school. Growing up I was always insecure about eating around my friends and once I found out about my allergies, I was still very much on edge. I would always hear people make comments about the way I ate but once I starting doing my research and became more educated on the topic, it was a lot easier for me to ignore any comments that were thrown my way. I became determined to help inform people on the benefits on being on this new “diet” and through that I just really tried to educate as much as I could. I stopped caring about what other people thought and just lived my life the way I needed to. This correlates with the “full send” theme of our blog because you can say I am giving all that I have in order to educate and inform other people who may experience the same thing as I do.
To full send in college means a lot of different things especially for each person, but for me I consider it what I am currently doing to go after the dream that I have set for myself since sophomore year. As a freshman I went into college thinking I was going to be a political science major. Well after a few classes I realized that this wasn’t what I wanted to major in and I wasn’t happy to be studying it. After talking with a few teachers, I concluded that the major that made the most sense to me was journalism. Once I started taking classes everything seemed to fall into place. As the year went on I determined that my niche would be broadcast journalism. I was so excited to start developing my skills and as I have gone into my junior year I decided I want to pursue a career either as an anchor for a big news station, or a reporter for the Associated Press. Wherever this major takes me, I am ready to learn and grow but as I move throughout my last three semesters of school, I am trying my hardest to go after every opportunity that is presented to me, even if it takes me out of my comfort zone.
“Journalism can never be silent; that is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault”- Henry Grunwald.

I used this picture to represent an aspect of my version of “full send.” While abroad this summer this specific post about learning how to live with being gluten-free in Italy was recognized by the donors of Jacksonville University, the college that my program was affiliated with. They were impressed that it was well written and well researched and showed an accurate version of being gluten-free in Italy. This picture combines with my food posts, and my college full send post and ties it into one.
