Online classes are very hard to focus on when you are distracted by everything around you. Managing your time wisely can help you to focus on classes and school. Taking classes online can make it feel like you do not learn anything or know when assignments are due. This blog can help you to know you are not alone and will give you tips on how to better manage your time for online classes.

Jenny Galotti a senior at the University of Tampa talked about how she has a very hard focusing on her classes while they are online. Jenny uses a planner and Blackboard to make sure she is getting her assignments done on time. She said,” I write down all my class times and assignments day to day to make sure I complete everything. I also check off and cross out each thing as I complete it.” Writing down what you have to do each day is a great way to make sure your assignments are finished on time and done well. Crossing off assignments when they are finished helps to focus on what you finished and what you still need to accomplish that day. To limit her distractions Jenny goes to a quiet room and puts her phone across the room. Distractions are the main reason students are struggling with online classes because they are focusing on different things rather than their class.

Reese Yost a junior at the University of Tampa has all his classes online and is struggling to focus on them while at home. Reese says, “Online classes have made my time management worse. I am easily distracted and have no motivation to do my schoolwork.” Students are feeling the need to focus on other things rather than their schoolwork. Some tips from Reese would be, “Make a schedule and write it down. Start your assignments as early as possible. Don’t go out when you have major assignments.” These are helpful tips for students to follow because procrastinating your assignments only makes it harder on you and will end up bad in the end. It is very easy to miss class when they are online, however, this only makes it harder on you because it only sets you back rather than helping you move forward.

Some really important tips you can gain are from USNews, they give 12 great tips on how to manage your time with classes and give great examples on how you can achieve these tips in your life. They give tips on how to put your courses together to where you are not having overload for each course. This website also gives you tips on how to just do your assignments correctly the first and focus on doing them right the first time because it will help you in the long run.
